A Bula
Este projecto teve como objectivo inicial facilitar a interacção do utilizador com bulas medicinais.
Foi adoptada uma metodologia dividida em três fases, cada uma delas aplicando um conjunto de métodos. Uma fase exploratória teve como principal objectivo recolher informação sobre os utilizadores de bulas medicinais, que consistia num questionário, num teste de performance e na criação de personas. Uma fase generativa procurou a criação de sistemas inovadores deste objecto, utilizando uma pesquisa através de um processo de research through design, tais como mapas mentais, arquitectura de informação, wireframes, desenvolvimento de identidade visual, user journey maps e protótipos. Numa última fase, foi realizada uma avaliação com potenciais utilizadores.
This project had as its initial objective facilitating user interaction with medicinal leaflets.
A methodology divided into three phases was adopted, each one applying a set of methods. An exploratory phase had as its main goal gathering information about medication leaflets user’s and consisted of a questionnaire, a performance test, and the creation of personas. A generative phase sought the creation of innovative medicinal leaflet systems using a research through design process and applied methods such as mind maps, information architecture, wireframes, visual identity development, user journey maps, and prototypes. In the last phase, we conducted an evaluation with potential users.
Interacção com a Bula (storyboard parte 1) - Quando o utilizador interage com a bula, o nome do medicamento é a única informação visível. Ao percorrer o objecto informativo, o leitor encontra a informação mais relevante. Quando a primeira página é totalmente aberta, estarão disponíveis separadores que conduzem a outras páginas de informação.
Interaction with leaflet (storyboard part 1) - When the user comes across the package insert, the name of the medicine is the only visible information. By scrolling down the package leaflet, the reader finds the most relevant information. When the first page is fully opened, tabs will be available that lead to other pages of information.
Interacção com a Bula (storyboard parte 2) - No seguimento de folhear a Bula, para que a leitura seja contínua, quando o utilizador vira a última página, os separadores posteriores serão visíveis. Desta forma, o leitor tem a possibilidade de aceder a toda a informação.
Interaction with leaflet (storyboard part 2) - Continuing to leaf through, in order for the reading to be continuous, when the user turns the last page the back tabs will be visible. In this way the reader has the possibility to access all the information.
Interacção com a Bula (storyboard parte 3) - O mesmo acontece na última página. Quando virada, o leitor verá a página inicial da Bula. Para um armazenamento adequado, o utilizador só terá de fazer uma primeira dobra no meio, e depois o objecto quase se dobra a si próprio.
Interaction with leaflet (storyboard part 3) - The same happens on the last page. When turned over, the reader will see the initial page of the leaflet. For proper storage, the user will only have to make a first fold in the middle, and then the object will almost fold itself.
Após a análise dos dados dos testes de avaliação, uma nova versão do folheto impresso foi concebida para resolver os problemas encontrados. Os separadores foram realçados em tons de cinza para os tornar mais visíveis e foi acrescentada uma referência na primeira página para, quando a bula é aberta, destacar a informação disponível na parte de trás do objecto.
After the evaluation tests data analysis, a new version of the printed leaflet was designed to address encountered problems. Tabs were highlighted in shades of gray to make them more visible and a reference was added in the first page when the package insert is open, to highlight the information available on the back of the object.
Os dados resultantes relativos à interacção com a bula proposta são mais positivos do que quando a interacção foi realizada com a bula original. Com o folheto proposto, os participantes sentiram que estavam no domínio das tarefas.
Resulting data relating to the interaction with the proposed package leaflet is more positive than when the interaction was carried out with the original package leaflet. With the proposed leaflet, participants felt that they were in mastery of the tasks.
